After 17 months of negotiations and signoffs with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, and George Harrison’s widow, Olivia, it was announced last week that the Beatles will star in a videogame that has been authorized for a Christmas 2009 release. It’s the result of a partnership between MTV and Harmonix (the companies behind Rock Band) and the B According to their press release, Rock Band studio Harmonix got the rights to make a Beatles music game, with the blessings of Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Star, Yoko Ono, and Olivia Harrison. In fact, they even gave their input for the game’s conception. Famed pop-artist and entertainer, Ukulele Ray, takes on the George Carlin/Ringo Starr role of narrating “THOMAS & FRIENDS” at the Arizona State Fair Oct. 21 thru Nov. 2.
